CIVMAQ PROJECTS HISTORY
CivMaq Projects was established in 2007 by Mongezi Maqubela in response to the need for a company capable of delivering excellent quality construction and engineering work to high standards which meet time and budget requirements. Quality control is considered a key element in our operations, and this has been a crucial driver of our growth.
The company began with a single location in Boksburg, in the province of Gauteng, which still remains the business’ head office. CivMaq Projects soon gained traction and thanks to the ambitions of a strong management team, and the trust that was built from the word go in terms of clients served, the company was able to expand rapidly. It now enjoys further offices around South Africa, including Cape, East London, Kimberly, Kwazulu Natal and Mpumalanga branches, to ensure that the company is able to serve an ever growing pool of clients from all over the country. CivMaq Projects remains an ambitious company with further plans for expansion and growth, which will no doubt bring the business to yet another level in the near future.
CivMaq Projects has achieved a Level 1 B-BBEE rating through an independent accredited rating agency, while we are proud of the leadership role that our company embraces amongst construction businesses with a focus on quality and cost efficiency.
As a result of our experience and the quality we have produced within this industry, CivMaq Projects has been accredited to the Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB) with compliance grading of high regard within numerous elements of engineering and construction, while the company is also registered with the National Home Builders Registration Council (NHBRC) as a Home Builder according to the Housing Consumers Protection Measures Act. 1998. |

MANAGEMENT TEAM

Mongezi Donald Maqubela – Managing Director
As Director of CivMaq Projects, Mongezi Maqubela is responsible for all operations and business lines across the company, while he is ultimately responsible for maintaining quality control to ensure that company standards are strictly maintained. He also nurtures a passion for entrepreneurship as often as possible. Mr Mongezi Maqubela’s qualifications include a BA Admin Degree from the University of Cape Town (UCT) and an LLB Degree from the University of the Witwatersrand (Wits). He also earned a Postgraduate Diploma in Municipal Management from the University of Johannesburg (UJ), and a Certificate in Project Management and Construction Law. Along with those qualifications, he has completed a security course through the Private Security Industry Regulatory Authority (PSIRA).
 
Dolly Maqubela – Director (Payroll Manager)
Dolly Maqubela is a crucial element of the success that CivMaq Projects continues to earn in a competitive industry, contributing in her capacity as Payroll Manager completing payroll admin on VIP. Her distinctive management approach has allowed the company to build relationships and gain great traction with clients. Mrs Maqubela is very well educated, having completed a Bcom Information Systems and Technology Degree, as well as a Bcom Honours Degree in Business Management and Marketing from the University of Durban. As a hard worker with an analytical mind, she is a valuable asset and a manager of esteem.
